فعل غير قابل للفصل: يأتي المفعول به بعد الحرف دائماً، ولا يفصل بينهما.
معاني look forward to مع الأمثلة
1.يتطلّع إلى، ينتظر بشوق
to feel happy and excited about something that is going to happen

ينتظر الأطفال العطلة الصيفية بشوق كبير.

to هنا حرف جر وليس جزءاً من المصدر، لذلك يأتي بعده اسم أو فعل بصيغة -ing: I'm looking forward to seeing you. وفي الإيميلات الرسمية يُفضَّل I look forward to…، أما I'm looking forward to… فأقرب إلى الأسلوب الودّي.
