ملاحظات مهمة للمتعلم العربي
بعد carry on يأتي الفعل بصيغة -ing: carry on working، أو with + اسم: carry on with your work. وهو شائع جداً في الإنجليزية البريطانية، أما الأمريكيون فيقولون كثيراً keep going أو continue. ولا تخلط بينه وبين الاسم carry-on أي «حقيبة اليد» في الطائرة.
