انتبه للفرق في التركيب: الشخص runs out of الشيء: I ran out of money.، أما الشيء نفسه فـruns out بلا of: My money ran out. والمعنى في الحالتين «نفد».

لا نقول The milk finished بمعنى «نفد الحليب»، بل We've run out of milk أو The milk has run out.
